One thing I've learned about adventurous elopements in Colorado, you never know what the weather is going to do. What started out as a cool evening turned into a frigid snow storm by the end of it. Meredith and Jake helped each other get dressed at their Jeep before heading up to the top of Sapphire Point for their vow exchange and intimate picnic. Right before the ceremony it began to snow, and of course I'm ecstatic because this was going to be awesome having it actually snowing in these photos. For a girl who grew up skiing just down the road in Winter Park, watching these gloomy clouds roll in was means for excitement! But dang that wind. Again one happy, but freezing, lady here.
Emotions were heightened for us all. With hair all over the place and outbursts of laughter at any given point, this truly was an amazing adventure wedding with just the three of us and the beautiful Colorado mountains.
After quick bride and groom portraits (because look at those dark clouds!), Meredith and Jake cuddled up to celebrate their self-solemnization. The couple attempted to warm up with some oh-so-smooth bourbon from Breckenridge Distillery that's ironically made with snowfall from the Rocky Mountains. The elopement may have been short and sweet, but Meredith and Jake sure didn't skimp on the love.
