Shantise and Will shared with me a breathtaking destination wedding in Savannah, Georgia. This was my first time in this historic town, and to say I was excited to explore would be an understatement. In addition to adventuring a new place, I could not wait to be surrounding by all the Spanish moss. What a beautiful town!
The bride and groom traveled to Georgia along with their closest family and friends to join their lives together as a married couple. I started the day at The Marshall House getting ready and sharing the first look between the two. Fun fact: Long ago when this historic place was built the town had what they called a door tax. So to avoid any extra costs they installed windows for balcony exits rather than doors. That’s why I make clients climb through windows.
After the emotional first look, we spent a couple of hours exploring the streets of the historic district in Savannah and capturing portraits before we headed to Orleans Square for the wedding ceremony. After Shan and Will walked down the aisle together, said “I do”, and jumped the broom, we all headed to Wet Willies where we indulged in daiquiris before meeting the guests at Vic’s On The River for the dinner reception. Who knew you could walk the streets of Savannah with frozen daiquiris?
I finished the night off walking the along the river at sunset closing in an amazing day with these two.
