Rock Island State Park Adventure | Knoxville Wedding Photographer
Want to get me super excited? Allow me to have the say in where we shoot the session, trust me, and go with it. Heads up 9/10 times I'm going to pick a pretty awesome, adventurous location. I'm a sucker for natural wonders, and because of that it makes sense why I'm obsessed with the West. However I must admit my home state has some pretty good places of its own. I've lived in Tennessee for over twenty years and often take advantage of what's in my backyard (or within a couple hour drive). All the years I've been here, as adventurous as my soul is, I have never visited any of the waterfalls in Middle Tennessee.
Amy and David said "Take us wherever," and we ended up in Rock Island State Park. We explored through the woods, embraced the refreshing mist of the falls, did a lot more rock climbing than we anticipated, and even stumbled across a lonesome cave that led us a little out of the boundaries - oops. Somehow my photo shoots end up off the beaten path, but I'm convinced they turn out better that way! Just like in this four-mile hike engagement session at Piney Falls that should have only been a little over a mile and a half roundtrip.
