Adventurous Elopement Photographer

Hiking to the tallest point we can reach on a random pull off that wasn't closed because of the weather conditions, slipping and sliding back down the snowy mountain on my butt with cameras held high, and capturing the most romantic, adventurous elopement in Rocky Mountain National Park - I'll take it! Surprise elopements don't get much better than a gold sequin wedding dress, hiking boots, a wood and deer antler groom's wedding ring, pine needle earrings, all those evergreen trees, and that altitude. And of course these two love birds are made in love!

HOW HE ASKED
from the bride, sophia

“Christian and I were high school sweethearts and attended college together in the mountains of North Carolina. Right after our four-year anniversary, during summer break, we went back home to Colorado together. Christian’s mother decided that it would be a great time to get the family together and have a pool day! During lunch, Christian wasn’t eating, and was acting very strange. I disregarded it. Later, as a photographer, I thought it would be a great idea to get the family together and do a group shot of everyone. As I grabbed my camera I noticed Christian holding something in his hand: a photo album. The look on his face said everything: he was going to propose. In front of everyone! I took the photo, which gave me a few moments to collect my nerves, and he came over. He pulled up his grandmother’s walker, which had a seat, and as I went to sit down, the walker rolled out from under me. I was so embarrassed that I sat there on the floor looking through the photographs that went from our first day dating to Christian on one knee. As I looked up there he was, on one knee with a beautiful ring in hand! Our relationship has always been a little quirky, but so full of memories!”
