Hannah and Jordan are celebrating their sixth anniversary this upcoming week, and we found a fun way to experience their union joy all over again. We packed a wedding dress, camera gear, and a handmade bouquet and set off on our hiking adventure to the very meaningful, to me, waterfall in the Smoky Mountains. Throwing my personal M+E touch onto everything, I chose this special place because it is a small piece of the puzzle to the discover/creation of my authentic self. I enjoy sharing powerful things with others sometimes. I'm always grateful for connections.
The day was beautiful in the Smokies. While on our hike to the falls we even passed a momma bear and her cub (very neat but equally frightening). When we reached our destination, Hannah and Jordan changed clothes separately in a caved area behind the falls before sharing their first look.
Once all the giddy emotions of seeing his wife in a wedding dress again had calmed, the couple read their written love notes to each other embracing their vows taken six years ago.
The adventurous anniversary session was filled with laughter, soft moments, and even some good crying in parts. Nature is magical, and I love capturing the power of its elements. When I get to mix my passion of photographing love stories in places like this, I am one satisfied gal.
