Tucked away just outside Gatlinburg, Greenbrier is one of the most peaceful places in the Smoky Mountains to exchange vows. Unlike some of the park's busier locations, this area feels quiet and untouched, with crystal-clear mountain streams, towering trees, and an atmosphere that invites you to slow down and be fully present. Whether you're envisioning an intimate riverside ceremony or simply want a location where nature takes center stage, Greenbrier offers a beautiful balance of accessibility and seclusion.

Greenbrier is home to two distinct ceremony areas, each with its own character. The first features scenic pull-offs along the West Prong of the Little Pigeon River, where rushing water and lush greenery create a naturally romantic backdrop that's easy to reach. The second, near the Old Settlers Trail, has a more wooded, tucked-away feel, complete with a charming footbridge and river access that adds timeless mountain charm to your elopement. If you're planning a ceremony during the summer months, keep in mind that permits for Greenbrier #1 aren't available between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day due to seasonal visitor traffic.
