Elopement Inspiration with Waterfall, Jeep Adventure, and Guitarist

The Trillium Venue | Wedding in the Smoky Mountains

There is a new wedding venue currently in construction in the Smokies, and I’m over-the-moon to share with you my speciality as we explore the hidden side of the property. This is going to be the perfect addition for couples who want to add an adventurous flair to their wedding day. The Trillium is the sister venue to The Magnolia, where I’ve been a preferred photographer since 2018, and I’m thrilled to begin capturing experiences with couples when it launches in Fall 2021.

The Trillium Venue is perched atop Bluff Mountain with an expansive 180-degree view of the mountains and has its very own private wooded trails and waterfall, which is the focus of this styled shoot. When the owners asked me to create an adventure that would showcase what wedding couples can experience beyond the mountain views, I knew exactly what I needed to bring my vision to life: a Jeep, a Rue De Seine gown, flowers, a madly-in-love couple, and someone who knows how to play the guitar. Lucky for us, I knew all the right people to make this happen!

As well as giving everyone a sneak peek at what’s to come once the venue opens, I am grateful to have been given the opportunity and creative freedom to stylize elements that are specific to adventurous elopements so I can show off something new that I’ve personally been eager to share. Stephen Goff and I are collaborating to bring couples unique experiences for intimate wedding days. With Magnolia + Ember, eloping couples get a planner and photographer all-in-one. I’ve been crafting adventure elopements since 2016 all across the country at waterfalls, 10,000′ mountain peaks, caves, coasts, and more. I assist with everything including activity ideas, locations, timelines, and other vendor recommendations if needed. I’m happy to announce that now you can have the option of having an officiant that’s willing to hike wherever your heart desires and bring along his guitar. Imagine your first dance on top of a mountain or at the base of a waterfall while listening to a live acoustic version of a beautiful song or even being serenaded while celebrating your marriage with a picnic or a glass of bubbly. We will even keep you warm if you get married in the winter with a heated blanket and a lightweight portable generator that I can hike with!

Together we can plan, officiate, and photograph your unforgettable adventure elopement!
